Birthday greetings, a role for the day, and staff anniversaries.

No year is ever stored
A month and a day is all a greeting needs. A full date of birth is personal data with a real cost to holding, and Braven has no reason to hold it. If you want "turns 21 today", the answer is no.
Staff anniversaries
Counted from the first day Braven saw somebody holding a staff role. That means your first anniversaries land a year after installing Braven, not a year after the person was actually promoted — which is honest, rather than inventing a date.
The birthday role
Applied for the day and removed the next, so nobody is still wearing it a week later.
