Categories

The options on a panel, and what each one controls.

A category is one option on a panel. It decides everything about the tickets opened from it.

SettingWhat it does
LabelWhat members see. Up to 80 characters.
DescriptionThe line under the label in a dropdown.
EmojiShown beside the label.
Button colourOnly used when the panel is styled as buttons.
Parent channelOpen these tickets somewhere other than the server default.
Support rolesWho can see these tickets, on top of the panel's roles.
Opening messageThe first thing posted inside the ticket.
Intake formA form the member fills in first.

How support roles stack

Category roles, then the panel's roles, then your server's staff roles. The most specific wins, which is what lets one category be handled by a different team without reconfiguring the whole server.

Category types

Beyond a standard ticket, a category can be an enquiry, bug report, appeal or player report. The type decides which preset intake form it starts from — a report asks who you are reporting and for what; an appeal asks which ban you are appealing.

Set custom if you built the form yourself.

Limits

Free servers get 3 categories, Pro 15, Elite unlimited. Discord caps any single panel at 25 regardless.

Removing a category archives it. Tickets already opened under it keep working and keep their history — the option just disappears from the panel.
